Refund and cancellation policy
Who you are buying from
The Return to Paid Work programme is sold by Katie Rose trading as AI On Maternity Leave, a sole trader with trading address AI on Maternity Leave, 4th Floor, Silverstream House, 45 Fitzroy Street, Fitzrovia, London, W1T 6EB GB.
Coaching is delivered by Fayrouz Essack, who works with us as a self-employed associate and delivers from UK and Montenegro. Live sessions run on UK time.
Contact: hello@aionmaternityleave.com. We aim to reply to any email about your booking within two working days.
What you are buying, and what each part is worth
The programme costs £169. It is made of parts that are treated differently in law, so we have set out what each part is worth. These figures decide what comes back to you if you cancel.
- Digital materials — The private programme hub, eight modules, the AI chains, the appendices and the Return File. Value: £100.
- Weekly voice notes — Eight recorded voice notes, one released each week. Value: £24 (£3 each).
- Live group sessions — Three live group sessions: 2 September, 30 September and 28 October 2026. Value: £45 (£15 each).
- Physical pack — Posted to you. Included at no charge, and yours to keep whatever happens. Value: £0.
- Total — £169.
The digital materials and the voice notes are digital content. The live sessions are the only part delivered live.
If you change your mind before 2 September
Nothing is released to you until 2 September. If you decide before then that the timing is wrong, email us and tell us briefly why, and we will refund you in full to your original payment method within 14 days. This is a first cohort so we'll learn as much from the people who step away as from the people who stay.
Your 14-day cancellation right
Because you bought online, you have 14 days from the day after you paid to cancel. That is a legal right and we are not trying to talk you out of it.
Two things happen on 2 September, which is inside that window for most people. So at checkout we ask you to confirm:
- that the digital materials are released to you on 2 September, and that once release begins you lose the right to cancel them under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013;
- that the weekly voice notes start being released to you on 2 September, on the same basis; and
- that the live sessions begin on 2 September, and that if you cancel during your 14 days you will pay for any live session you have already attended.
You do not have to agree. If you would rather keep your 14 days intact, email us before 2 September and we will move you to the next cohort at the founding price, or refund you.
What you get back if you cancel inside your 14 days
- Digital materials, £100 — Not refundable once the hub has opened to you.
- Voice notes, £24 — We charge £3 for each voice note already released. The rest comes back.
- Live sessions, £45 — We charge £15 for each session you have attended. Sessions you have not attended come back.
- Physical pack — Yours. No charge, nothing to return.
A worked example. You bought on 25 August, the hub opened on 2 September, you had one voice note, you came to session 1, and you cancel on 6 September. You have used £100 of materials, £3 of voice note and £15 of live session. We refund £51.
Same dates, but you did not come to session 1: we refund £66.
We refund within 14 days of you telling us, to the card you paid with.
After your 14 days
Once your 14-day window has closed, the programme is not refundable. Sessions 2 and 3 fall outside everyone's window, so once you are past day 14 the whole £169 is committed.
This is deliberate, and it is the same reason we ask you to think about it before you buy. This is a small group. Fayrouz plans each session around the people in the room and the group builds a working relationship over eight weeks. Someone leaving in week 5 changes the programme for everyone still in it.
If your circumstances change and you cannot continue, tell us anyway. We would rather move you to the next cohort at no extra cost than have you quietly disappear.
If you would rather move than cancel
At any point, we would prefer to move you to the next cohort at the founding price, keeping the digital materials you already have, than refund you. Just ask. This is usually the better outcome for everyone.
Missing a session
Live sessions are live, and best experienced that way. If you cannot attend, the session is not refunded. What we do instead: Fayrouz writes a short note on what was covered, which goes to everyone. If all attendees agree, we record the session and share it — we will not record without everyone's consent, because people need to be able to speak freely. If a session was not recorded and you missed it, tell us and we will find you a way to catch up. You will also have the WhatsApp group, and you can book a one-to-one with Fayrouz if you would rather (£75 for 60 minutes, booked separately).
Passing your place to someone else
You can give your place to another person at any time before 2 September at no cost. Email us their name and email address and we will move it across.
If we cancel or change things
The programme runs with a minimum of four people. Sales close on 28 August 2026. If we have not reached four, we will tell you by 29 August and refund you in full within 14 days.
If people cancel after we have started and the group drops below four, we still run the programme. We will not cancel a cohort on you once it has begun.
If we have to postpone the start date, you can take the new dates or take a full refund, whichever you prefer.
If we have to move a live session, we will give you as much notice as we can and offer an alternative. If we cancel a live session altogether and cannot replace it, we refund £15 for that session.
The programme is delivered by Katie Rose and Fayrouz Essack. If either of us cannot deliver, we will either substitute someone of equivalent experience, or tell you and refund the live-delivery element, or postpone. We will always tell you before we change it, not after.
If something is wrong
Nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The digital materials must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and the live delivery must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. If they are not, tell us and we will put it right, or reduce the price if we cannot.
How to cancel
Email hello@aionmaternityleave.com with your name, the email address you booked with and the date you booked. If you are cancelling under your statutory 14-day right you do not need to give a reason, and you can use this wording if you prefer: "I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the Return to Paid Work Programme, ordered on [date], [name], [address], [date]."
Complaints
Email hello@aionmaternityleave.com and we will reply within five working days. If we cannot sort it out between us, we are not currently signed up to an alternative dispute resolution scheme, and you are free to take the matter further, including through the courts. You can also get free advice from Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133.
